Chemical Agent Certification Class
- Tuition is $50.00.
- Required by the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance to carry a chemical agent while on security officer duty.
- Course is 4 hours.
- The course covers what chemical agents are, Scoville Heat Units, and the use-of-force continuum.
- The student must take a written exam at the end of the class. A passing grade of 70% or more is required for successful completion.
- Student exposure to the chemical agent is not required.
- USA Training Academy will ensure that all training materials are provided including the chemical agent.
- A state chemical agent certification card is issued upon successful completion of the class.
