Tuition is $175.00 for Tennessee and $225 for Arkansas.
Required by the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance to obtain an Unarmed or Armed Security Guard License. They cover the Tennessee Private Protective Services Law and Rules book and follow the guidelines set forth by the state.
Conducted over two 8 hour days for Tennessee and 3 days, 24 hours for Arkansas.
Students must be 21 years old to become an armed guard.
Student must bring an operational quality handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition. (Factory, new, or reloads are all fine.)
Instructor will provide shooting targets and eye/ear protection.
Firearms are available for rent and ammunition can be purchased.
A good attitude with safety in mind.
USA Training Academy will ensure that all training materials are provided.

1. Gather your application and documents.
Digital proof of training and color photo from USA Training Academy (we will email this to you).
Digital Finger Print Receipt. We will scan this for you.
DD214 form if you have ever been in the military.
Court Clerk certified final disposition of any arrests.
Proof of Citizenship documents if you immigrated to the United States (such as a Green Card).
Your credit card or debit card.
2. Upload all documents to the new online Tennessee Private Protective Services portal (https://core.tn.gov).
If you have trouble using the online system or don't have a computer/internet, you are welcome to make an appointment with us after completing your training. You have gathered all of the additional items. Call us at (901) 826-4764 to schedule the appointment. We will assist you with your online application and document uploading.
The fee for this personal assistance is $40.
